A nature photographer shared a picture of a large Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) growing by a creek behind their home, asking for confirmation of the identification and admitting they are not confident with tree species. The shot was tagged for Cascadia, the Pacific Northwest, and nature photography communities.
Why now: People in nature and photography communities enjoy identifying and admiring local trees and wildlife.
