Original: Turkish AKINCI Is Hunting Chinese Drones in Sudan! 14 Shot Down
Reports claim Turkish-made AKINCI combat drones are operating in Sudan and have shot down 14 Chinese-made drones there. The claim has drawn heavy attention, fueling discussion of a Turkey-China drone rivalry playing out through the Sudan conflict. Independent confirmation of the number of drones downed, who is operating the AKINCI aircraft, and which Chinese drone models were involved has not been established.
Why now: The reported clash between Turkish and Chinese drone technology in Sudan's war has caught attention as a possible proxy test of rival drone industries.
