Original: Shawn Fain’s Slate Has Swept the UAW Elections
Shawn Fain's reform slate has swept the United Auto Workers' internal elections, cementing his allies' control of the union's leadership. The result marks a decisive consolidation of the reform movement that has pushed for more aggressive bargaining and democratic changes inside the UAW since Fain first won the presidency.
Why now: The election sweep strengthens the reform faction's hold on the UAW at a time of heightened attention to autoworker labor politics.
