Ukraine expands drone strikes on Yandex data centres
Original: Ukraine expands drone strikes on data centres owned by Russia's Yandex
Ukraine has widened its campaign of drone strikes against data centres operated by Russia's Yandex, with the company reporting a second facility hit by an attack. The strikes target infrastructure supporting Russia's largest tech company and its search and cloud services. The campaign marks a notable extension of Ukrainian long-range drone operations from energy assets toward Russia's digital and computing infrastructure.
Why now: A new front in the war targeting Russian tech infrastructure is a significant escalation with potential disruption to widely used services.
