Original: 33 balls, 0 runs - Maddinson's record-breaking duck on Australia return https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/articles/ck2
Australian batsman Nic Maddinson has made an unwanted record on his return to the national side, taking 33 deliveries to score without scoring a single run before being dismissed for a duck. It is described as the slowest duck by an Australian Test batsman, drawing widespread reaction and ribbing from cricket fans and commentators online.
Why now: A record-breaking, unusual batting failure in international cricket is inherently shareable and mockable for cricket fans.
