Youth Campaign Links Climate Action with Fighting Corruption
Original: Guardians of Integrity: Youth Take on Climate Change and Corruption
A youth-focused initiative is highlighting how corruption undermines climate action, framing young people as 'guardians of integrity' in the fight against both problems. Launched through the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the campaign argues that transparency and accountability are essential for climate policies and funds to work, and it calls on young people to speak up against bribery, embezzlement and environmental crime.
Why now: A UN anti-corruption body has launched a campaign connecting youth engagement, climate change and integrity.
