Original: Pentagon prepares 3-day intensive Iran strike option as Trump says no attack before midterms: NYT
The Pentagon has prepared an option for an intensive three-day military strike against Iran, according to a New York Times report carried by Anadolu Agency. President Donald Trump has meanwhile said the United States will not launch any attack before the midterm elections. The report highlights the tension between military planning and political timing in Washington, with observers weighing whether the strike option reflects real intent or pressure tactics toward Tehran.
Why now: The combination of active war planning and explicit political timing tied to the US midterms raises fresh concerns about a possible US-Iran confrontation.
