Japanese comedian Tsuru Takuya of the duo Raparufe is celebrating after actor Hiroshi Abe officially endorsed his long-running impression of him. The recognition reportedly comes with a new signature catchphrase for the bit, and Tsuru expressed delight at receiving the public blessing from Abe himself, whose deadpan image the parody draws on.
Why now: The rare official endorsement from actor Hiroshi Abe of a comedian's impression of him is a lighthearted entertainment story trending in Japan.
