Original: गैस
In Prayagraj, new LPG gas connections have been stopped, while customers seeking a connection transfer are being charged 2,200 rupees. The move has drawn attention locally, with residents questioning why fresh connections are on hold and why the transfer fee is so high. Households dependent on cooking gas are waiting to see whether authorities intervene or clarify the situation.
Why now: A sudden halt on new LPG connections and a steep transfer fee directly affects household cooking gas access, prompting local concern.
