Original: thegrefg
Spanish streamer TheGrefg has been fined 750,000 euros for raffling off his luxury car without the required authorisation. Spanish media report that consumer authorities imposed the penalty, arguing the giveaway lacked the necessary permits. The case has drawn wide attention in Spain, where TheGrefg is one of the country's biggest online personalities, and has reignited debate over regulation of giveaways run by influencers.
Why now: The large fine against one of Spain's most popular streamers is major news for his fanbase and the influencer industry.
