German broadcasters film new circus drama series
Original: zirkus
ARD, Degeto and BR are shooting "Der Circus - Welt der Träume", a six-part series about a Munich circus, with elaborate sets, CGI elephants and well-known actors. The production is drawing attention alongside quirky local circus stories, such as camels appearing by a road in Coburg, and Freddy Quinn announcing a surprise appearance in Schleswig-Holstein at 95.
Why now: Filming has started on a major new ARD series set in the world of the circus, and related regional stories are surfacing at the same time.
