Google Play Store loosens path for AI-built apps
Original: google play store
Google has updated the Play Store to make it easier for developers to publish apps created with AI coding tools, often called vibe-coded apps. The move lowers barriers for hobbyist developers and reflects the wave of AI-assisted software development. It comes as Android-adjacent platforms, including Amazon's new Alexa tablets, continue blurring lines around app distribution.
Why now: Google's policy change lowers the publishing barrier for the growing wave of AI-built apps.
