The UK has announced £54 million in funding for Ukraine, aimed at humanitarian needs and energy infrastructure. Of that, £20 million will go to emergency repairs of Ukraine's damaged power grids, along with back-up generators and solar power sources. The remaining £34 million is earmarked for securing critical energy and humanitarian support as the country continues to face strikes on its power network.

Why now: The announcement comes as Ukraine's energy grid remains a focal point of the war, drawing attention to Western support efforts.
