Germany prepares to switch clocks to winter time
Original: umstellung auf winterzeit
The annual switch to winter time is approaching in Germany, with clocks to be turned back one hour, giving people an extra hour of sleep but darker evenings. Outlets such as Stern are publishing guides on when the change happens and what to know, and many Germans are searching for the exact date and how the time change affects them.
Why now: The end of daylight saving time is imminent, prompting widespread searches for when and how to adjust clocks.
