Players predict sharp decline for Aion 2 after launch
Original: I believe # Aion2 will follow the same fate than # ThroneAndLiberty . 300K players on release. In one month it gets 150K
Gamers are comparing the launch trajectory of NCSoft's MMORPG Aion 2 to Throne and Liberty, another NCSoft title. The claim: Aion 2 debuted with around 300,000 players but will steadily bleed its audience, dropping roughly half within a month and continuing downward, with future expansions capping at modest numbers rather than reviving the game. Sentiment is skeptical about the game's long-term prospects despite the strong start.
Why now: Aion 2 has just launched and comparisons to Throne and Liberty's player decline are fueling debate over whether NCSoft's newest MMO can retain its audience.
