A new review highlights 'The Cross and the Olive Tree: Cultivating Palestinian Theology Amid Gaza', edited by Palestinian theologians John and Samuel Munayer. The book argues for a faith-based, justice-oriented Christian response to the situation in the Middle East, and the review suggests it offers much for readers seeking to understand Palestinian perspectives within Christian thought during the Gaza conflict.

Why now: Ongoing Gaza war keeps discussions of Palestinian liberation theology and faith-based responses to the conflict topical.
