Canadians Debate the Best Canadian Dessert

A lighthearted online poll is asking people to pick the best Canadian dessert, and it is open to non-Canadians as well. Participants are invited to name favourites that did not make the four-option list, with comments filling in the gaps. The question has drawn modest engagement as people debate classics like butter tarts, Nanaimo bars and maple-based treats.

Why now: Food debates about national desserts reliably invite people to defend their regional favourites and add missing options.
