Brazilian opposition clashes over ending the 6x1 work schedule

Original: oposição

A coordinator for Senator Flavio Bolsonaro said voting to end the 6x1 work schedule 'does no good for the country', drawing sharp reactions from the Workers' Party and fueling debate between Brazil's government and opposition. The 6x1 scale, which gives workers only one day off per week, has become a heated political issue, with left-wing parties pushing to reduce the workload and opposition figures warning of economic consequences.

Why now: Congress is debating the bill to end the 6x1 work regime, and opposition remarks have reignited partisan conflict over it
