Florida's Ladapo says vaccine mandate rollback is about parents' rights
Original: Ladapo: Eliminating vaccine mandates isn’t about science, it’s about parents’ rights
Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo says the effort to eliminate vaccine mandates in the state is not grounded in scientific arguments but in defending parents' rights to make medical decisions for their children. The statement fuels an ongoing national debate over school vaccination requirements and the role of government in public health policy.
Why now: Florida's push to roll back vaccine mandates remains a flashpoint in the national argument over parental rights versus public health.
