Reform UK probe clears officials over donor sting
Original: nigel farage
Reform UK says an internal investigation has cleared senior officials of breaking the law in connection with a sting involving a donor, the Financial Times reports. The finding comes amid continued scrutiny of Nigel Farage's party, which has been under pressure over its links to wealthy backers and the conduct of its staff. Critics are questioning the independence of a probe carried out internally rather than by an outside authority.
Why now: Fresh reporting on the internal probe's conclusion has put Nigel Farage and Reform UK back in the spotlight.
