Sudan rights group reports sexual violence against thousands of men and boys
A Sudanese rights group has reported that thousands of men and boys have been subjected to sexual violence in Sudan, according to Sudan Tribune. The report highlights the scale of abuse in the country's conflict, where sexual violence has been widely documented against women and, increasingly, against males. The group is calling for accountability and international attention to the victims.
Why now: Ongoing conflict in Sudan and growing documentation of conflict-related sexual violence are drawing attention to underreported abuses against men and boys.
