Middle East Eye: British support for Israel is shattering
Original: “British support for Israel is shattering” by David Hearst in Middle East Eye @ palestine@fedibird.com @ Palestine@masto
Middle East Eye editor David Hearst argues that a 'dam has burst' in British politics, claiming establishment support for Israel is breaking down. The piece is being shared widely in pro-Palestinian online communities, with readers treating it as a sign of a major shift in UK political opinion, including within Labour and the Green Party, over Israel's actions and the government's stance.
Why now: Debate over UK policy on Israel and Palestine is intense, and the article frames this as a historic turning point.
