Nearly all Gaza children reported needing urgent mental health support
Original: « … roughly 100% of all Palestinian children in Gaza were reported as needing urgent mental health support in April 2024
A report cited from April 2024 states that roughly 100% of Palestinian children in Gaza were identified as needing urgent mental health support, reflecting the psychological toll of the war on the territory's child population. The figure is being shared with calls for a ceasefire, with commenters framing it as evidence of a generational mental health crisis requiring urgent international attention.
Why now: The ongoing war in Gaza and ceasefire debate keep attention on its devastating impact on children.
