Cold polar air mass to hit Spain before October holiday

Spain's weather agency AEMET warns of a sharp temperature drop ahead of the Puente del Pilar holiday, with a polar air mass pushing minimum temperatures down to around 5 degrees Celsius and a DANA, a cut-off low pressure system, also looming. Forecasters describe a thermal swing and are questioning whether the cold will settle in, as a warm spell gives way to much colder conditions across the country.
