Artist bans AI derivatives of all his work
Original: License update: AI derivation prohibited on all my art, lore, stories, comics
David Revoy, the artist behind the open-source Pepper & Carrot comic, has updated the license on his art, lore, stories and comics to explicitly prohibit AI derivation. The move stands out because Revoy has long shared his work under permissive Creative Commons terms, and the announcement has drawn discussion about how creators of openly licensed work can restrict use of their material for training or generating AI content.
Why now: It highlights the growing tension between open licensing and AI training of creative works.
