The Omsk refinery complex in western Siberia has been struck for the second time since Russia's full-scale invasion began, following an earlier attack on July 6th. The site lies roughly 2,700 km from Ukraine, making it one of the longest-range Ukrainian drone strikes recorded so far. The strike highlights Ukraine's growing ability to hit deep inside Russian territory, targeting key oil refining infrastructure far from the front lines.

Why now: The record-long-range drone strike on a strategically important Russian oil refinery signals a major escalation in Ukraine's deep-strike campaign.
