Bipartisan leaders of a powerful U.S. House committee have demanded answers from the Amateur Athletic Union, launching an investigation into the youth sports organization. The move follows a joint investigation by ProPublica and The Washington Post that found the massive amateur sports body failed to protect young athletes from sexual abuse. The probe marks a major escalation of scrutiny on one of America's largest youth sports organizations.
