Furman University's 'Theatre/Theater' puts backstage drama center stage

Original: In Furman’s ‘Theatre/Theater,’ the real drama happens backstage

Furman University's production 'Theatre/Theater' is drawing attention in Greenville for flipping the spotlight away from the stage and onto the backstage world. The play focuses on what happens behind the scenes of a theatrical production, giving audiences a look at the real drama among the crew and staff rather than the performers themselves.

Why now: The production's unusual backstage-centered premise is generating local interest in Greenville theatre circles.
