Why the AI future will be awesome
An optimistic argument is being made that the AI future will be awesome, pushing back against widespread anxiety about artificial intelligence. The piece, circulating widely online, lays out the case that AI will bring major benefits rather than mostly harm. Discussion is focused on whether that confidence is warranted given current concerns about jobs, safety and misuse.
Why now: AI's rapid advances have made the public debate polarized between doomer and optimistic predictions, so an upbeat case draws attention.
