Bezos warns US must beat China in moon race
Original: 'WE HAVE TO BEAT CHINA': Bezos issues stark warning about the moon race
Jeff Bezos has issued a stark warning that the United States must beat China in the race to return to the moon. Speaking about the new lunar space race, he argued that American leadership in space exploration is at stake as Beijing pushes forward with its own crewed lunar ambitions. His comments add to growing debate in Washington over NASA's Artemis programme and competition with China.
Why now: Bezos's warning taps into current concern over US-China rivalry in space and the future of NASA's moon plans.
