Bridgerton Prequel About Lady Violet Nears Netflix Series Order

Original: ‘Bridgerton’ Lady Violet Prequel Courts Netflix Series Pickup

A planned Bridgerton prequel centring on Lady Violet, the Bridgerton family matriarch, is moving closer to a series pickup at Netflix. The project would expand Shonda Rhimes' period romance franchise by exploring the young Violet's backstory, following the path of earlier spin-off Queen Charlotte. The news is generating fresh interest in the future of the Bridgerton universe.

Why now: Bridgerton is one of Netflix's biggest franchises, so any expansion of its universe draws wide fan and media attention
