Yashasvi Jaiswal secretly training as wicketkeeper, Mumbai captain reveals

Original: Competition for KL Rahul & Rishabh Pant? Yashasvi Jaiswal secretly training as a wicketkeeper, reveals Mumbai captain

Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane has revealed that opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has been quietly practising as a wicketkeeper, sparking speculation that the young batter could add glovework to his game. The development raises the prospect of competition with established India wicketkeeper-batters KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, and could broaden Jaiswal's role across formats ahead of upcoming selections.

Why now: Adding wicketkeeping skills would make Jaiswal a versatile option and challenge India's current wicketkeeper-batter pecking order, fuelling selection debate.
