Ghana moves to establish national space agency
Original: Ghana advances plans to establish national space agency
Ghana is advancing plans to create a national space agency, a step that would formalise the country's ambitions in satellite technology, Earth observation and space science. If established, the agency would join a growing number of African nations building institutional capacity in the space sector. Details on funding, timeline and structure have not yet been announced.
Why now: African space programmes are attracting growing regional and international attention as more countries invest in space infrastructure.
