Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is facing accusations of concealing the extent of damage Iran inflicted on American troops and bases during the war with Iran. The claim follows CBS News footage showing Iranian attacks on a major US military base in Kuwait at the start of the conflict. Critics say the administration is downplaying the scale of the strikes and their effect on US personnel.

Why now: Newly obtained footage of Iranian attacks on a US base in Kuwait is fueling claims the Pentagon is minimizing the damage.
