GTA 6 'early access' scams surge as fake leaks spread

Original: cyberleek

Cybersecurity company Kaspersky is warning that scammers are exploiting excitement around Grand Theft Auto 6 by promoting fake leaks and bogus 'early access' offers. Fraudulent sites and pages promise pre-release gameplay or downloads, then steal money or personal data, or infect devices with malware. The warning is drawing attention as anticipation for the game's release keeps reaching new heights online.

Why now: Excitement for GTA 6 is making gamers targets for pre-release scams, and the security warning has spread widely across multiple countries.
