Trump official celebrates new solar factory opening

Original: High-level Trump official celebrates new solar factory...no, really! https:// cleantechnica.com/2026/10/07/s olar-power-

A senior official in the Trump administration has publicly praised the opening of a new solar factory in Texas, including polysilicon production and manufacturing jobs, despite the administration's generally skeptical stance on renewable energy. Commenters are highlighting the irony of a Trump-era official championing solar manufacturing, and debating what it signals about US energy policy and the growing economic weight of the solar industry.

Why now: The apparent contradiction between Trump administration energy policy and an official celebrating a solar factory is striking to observers.
