Open-source AI-built clones of Adobe's creative apps emerge
Original: Adobe Photoshop, Premiere and Illustrator now have AI-built open-source clones
Open-source alternatives to Adobe Photoshop, Premiere and Illustrator have been created using AI, offering free replacements for the company's flagship creative tools. The development matters because Adobe's subscription pricing has long frustrated users, and credible open-source clones could give creative professionals a way to leave the ecosystem without losing core editing, video, and illustration functionality.
Why now: Frustration with Adobe's subscription costs is high, and free AI-generated alternatives threaten its core business.
