Sherrod Brown centers datacenter fears in Ohio Senate bid
Original: ‘System is rigged’: Democrat Sherrod Brown puts datacenter danger at heart of populist Senate bid https://www. theguardi
Former Ohio senator Sherrod Brown is making opposition to large datacenter projects a central theme of his populist 2026 Senate campaign, arguing the 'system is rigged' against ordinary workers. His message ties concerns about energy costs, land use and corporate power to a broader economic critique as Ohio's midterm race draws national attention.
Why now: Brown is reframing the datacenter boom as a populist campaign issue ahead of the 2026 midterms.
