Claim: hundreds of migrants leave France by boat for Britain
Original: BREAKING NEWS! Hundreds of illegal Migrants have left France & are in boats en-route to Britain; our borders are not saf
A former British police officer and vocal law-and-order commentator claims hundreds of migrants have left French beaches and are crossing the Channel to Britain, adding that UK borders and streets are unsafe. He links the claim to a reported major incident at RAF Fairford, describing the country as being in chaos. The claims are being widely shared, though official confirmation is not provided.
Why now: Channel crossings and border security are a highly charged political topic in the UK, and combining them with a reported terrorism incident amplifies attention.
