Kevin Kilbane calls on Ireland to boycott Israel match
Original: Go Ireland! ✊ # solidarity # Gaza # KevinKilbane # GavinBazunu Kevin Kilbane: ‘De Republiek Ierland zou niet tegen Israë
Former Republic of Ireland footballer Kevin Kilbane has said Ireland should not play against Israel, arguing no match should take place while Israeli troops carry out what he described as genocide in Gaza. The remarks are circulating alongside messages of solidarity with Gaza, with references to Dublin's display of Palestinian flags and to goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, and are drawing support from pro-Palestinian voices.
Why now: Ireland's strong pro-Palestinian stance and the question of whether its national team should face Israel remain hotly debated as the Gaza war continues.
