South Korea Recalls Ambassador From Ukraine Over North Korean POW Row

Original: KYIV POST: South Korea Recalls Ambassador From Ukraine Amid Diplomatic Rift Over North Korean POWs https://www. kyivpost

South Korea is recalling its ambassador from Ukraine amid a diplomatic dispute sparked by Kyiv's disclosure of two North Korean prisoners of war captured while fighting alongside Russian forces. Seoul, which has deep concerns about any North Korean military involvement in the war, reportedly objected to how the information about the captives was handled and made public, straining relations between the two countries.

Why now: The unusual public falling-out between two countries aligned against Russia, tied to sensitive North Korean POW disclosures, is drawing wide attention.
