Emergency power cuts disrupt water supply in Kyiv
Original: Emergency power cuts cause water supply disruptions on Kyiv's right bank Power supply issues are affecting certain water
Emergency power cuts have disrupted water supply in parts of Kyiv, with the city's right bank most affected. The municipal water utility Kyivvodokanal said voltage drops in the power grid are hitting certain water supply facilities, leading to reduced water pressure for residents. The disruptions come as Ukraine continues to grapple with damage to its energy infrastructure, prompting emergency outages across the capital.
Why now: Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure have forced emergency power cuts, and residents are now feeling the knock-on effects on basic services like water.
