America's first nature library opens its doors
Original: This is a great idea. # Nature # Libraries # Environment Tents, night-vision goggles, bear tracking kits – and even book
America's first nature library has opened, offering visitors far more than books. The collection includes tents, night-vision goggles and bear tracking kits that people can borrow to explore the outdoors, alongside reading material on nature and the environment. Commenters are calling it a great idea, praising the library for encouraging people to engage directly with wildlife and green spaces rather than only reading about them.
Why now: The unusual concept of lending outdoor gear like tents and bear tracking kits alongside books has captured people's imagination.
