Original: Australia stick to familiar formula in South Africa as they seek to bury demons of 2018

The 2018 tour remains notorious for the ball-tampering scandal in Cape Town, which led to bans for Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft. By keeping a settled side, the team is looking to move on from that episode and focus on results on the field.
Why now: Australia are returning to South Africa for the first high-profile series there since the 2018 ball-tampering scandal, reviving memories of that episode.
