Dalen Terry starts as shorthanded Warriors fall to Blazers

Original: dalen terry

Dalen Terry started at guard for the Golden State Warriors in Wednesday's preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers and logged 43 minutes, with Brandon Williams also moving into the starting lineup. The shorthanded Warriors fell 123-118 as Damian Lillard made his preseason debut for Portland. Terry's heavy minutes are drawing attention as he competes for a rotation spot.

Why now: Terry unexpectedly started and played major minutes for the injury-depleted Warriors, prompting interest in his role ahead of the regular season.
