Original: Jacob Kiplimo ran the third-fastest marathon in history, a feat that is almost forgotten
Ugandan runner Jacob Kiplimo clocked the third-fastest marathon ever recorded, yet the achievement has attracted surprisingly little attention, as the New York Times observes. His time places him among the fastest marathoners in history, behind only the world record performances, but the milestone has been largely overshadowed in public and media discussion.
