Snow and rain threaten Thanksgiving travel across the Prairies
Original: edmonton weather
Canadians are checking forecasts ahead of the Thanksgiving long weekend as weather warnings point to a messy few days on the Prairies. Forecasters warn of rain and snow across Saskatchewan and Alberta, with Calgary expecting brisk conditions and possible snowfall. Ontario may also see significant snow as a storm system tracks near one of the country's most active weather battlegrounds, prompting travel cautions.
Why now: Thanksgiving weekend travel plans are colliding with early-season snow and rain warnings across Western Canada.
