Bernard-Henri Lévy defends Israeli offensive in Gaza
Original: ⭕ #BHL BANALISE L’OFFENSIVE #ISRAÉLIENNE À #GAZA « #Israël a fait à #Gaza ce que n’importe quel pays au monde aurait fai
French philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy, known as BHL, said Israel "did to Gaza what any country in the world would have done," arguing that despite the death toll and the devastation of the territory, Israel "did not take revenge, it defended itself." His comments, made to Radio J France, are drawing sharp criticism online, with many accusing him of trivialising the scale of destruction in Gaza.
Why now: His remark minimising the Gaza offensive's death toll and destruction is provoking strong reactions.
