Danny Trejo defends himself over role in ICE-backed film

Original: danny trejo

Actor Danny Trejo says he is "pro-immigrant" and a "proud Mexican" after facing criticism for appearing in "Pawn Shop," a Daily Wire film centered on an ICE operation, with a statement insisting "make no mistake." The film, linked to Ben Shapiro's outlet and inspired by a Minneapolis ICE story, is shooting in Livingston, Montana, where locals have staged protests against the production and its messaging.

Why now: Trejo's public response to backlash over the politically charged ICE film has made him a trending topic.
