Russian Forces Say They Struck Cargo Ship Carrying Arms for Ukraine

Original: сухогруз

Russia's Defence Ministry says its forces hit a cargo ship delivering weapons and supplies for Ukrainian forces to the port of Chornomorsk. Reports citing the military say the vessel was struck in what officials describe as a successful strike. St Petersburg news outlet Spbdnevnik also reported on the attack. The claim has not been independently verified, and there is no word yet from Ukraine or the ship's operator on casualties or damage.

Why now: Reports of a Russian strike on a cargo ship supplying Ukrainian forces are new and unverified, drawing attention to the war's maritime front.
